An evaluation of the support system for COVID-19 across Te Tai Tokerau is underway.
“Te Whatu Ora – Te Tai Tokerau (formerly Northland DHB) needs your help to ensure we are prepared for the next surge of COVID-19,” said Pamela Parkin, Care in the Community Regional Hub.
“We have had a pretty good response to the survey so far, but we critically need to hear from more whānau, particularly in rural areas.”
The public survey results to date highlight most people know where and how to access help, but there is a group who do not.
“We do not want whānau to miss out on assistance or not know who they can call for some extra help when they are unwell with COVID-19.”
With a lot of sickness in the community at the moment, a combination of COVID-19, flu and other illnesses circulating, whānau must know and have the confidence to get the assistance they need.
“The survey will guide agencies on where improvements are needed, so whānau get the service and help they need when they become unwell.”
