Wastewater overflows at some beaches in Te Tai Tokerau

The Te Tai Tokerau power outage may impact wastewater pump stations, leading to the overflow of sewage into the sea.

You can get very sick from contact with human sewage.

Please avoid:

  • any contact with recreational waters where there are public health warning signs
     
  • any collection/consumption of shellfish where there are public health warning signs
