FREE* Dental Care for Teenagers

Teenagers receive their dental care from either a dentist in their community or the Te Whatu Ora Oral Health Service. You have the right to choose your provider and both options will continue to provide FREE* dental care until their 18th birthday.

At your Year 8 dental appointment, the Dental Therapist will talk to you about choosing a contracted adolescent dentist or you can enrol online here.  When you start college, this is the dentist you will go to for your dental care.  Remember it’s FREE until your 18th birthday!

* Free dental care does not include orthodontic treatment.
