Outpatients

Specialist consultants from Whangārei Hospital hold a variety of regular clinics at Kaitaia Hospital. These services include Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT), Medical/Cardiac, Medical/Diabetes, Medical/Well Elderly, Obstetrician/Gynaecologist, Orthopaedic, Paediatrics, Podiatrist, Psychiatrist, Psychologist/Diabetes, an 8 station haemodialysis outpatient unit, Retinopathy and Surgical.

This also means that many local patients are able to attend clinics at Kaitaia Hospital as follow-up visits prior to treatment at Whangārei Hospital.

Patients are referred by a GP. There is no charge for the Outpatients service.
