Making it easier to keep in touch with patients

We are starting to use email to communicate appointment information and test results with our patients.

This is an optional service designed to make life easier for those patients who wish to take advantage of it. 

We are in the process of sending a verification email to all patients to confirm that the email addresses we have on file are correct and that they are happy for us to communicate health information with them in this way.

The verification email will come from the following email address:  donotreply@emailverification.northlanddhb.org.nz

This email is genuine, and we ask you to please respond. You are also welcome to email any queries to emailValidationSupport@northlanddhb.org.nz or check our frequently asked questions below.

How do I know the email is not SPAM?

The genuine email verification requests from Te Tai Tokerau will ONLY come from the email address donotreply@emailverification.northlanddhb.org.nz

Do I have to agree to you communicating with me by email?

No, the choice is yours. By agreeing to let us communicate your healthcare information by email, we will be able to get you information more quickly.

How long do I get to respond?

We would appreciate your response as soon as possible.  Don’t worry if you accidentally delete the email - we will send you two further reminders.  You will have three weeks to respond.

What if I want to update the email address you have for me?

The next time you visit us or contact us, ask the receptionist or booking clerk to update the email address that we have on file for you. Alternatively, you can contact us at: emailValidationSupport@northlanddhb.org.nz

What happens if I lose the email you sent me?

Don’t worry - we will send you two more reminders to validate your email. If for some reason you can't find any of the emails, you can talk to one of our receptionists next time you're in and ask them to update your email address. Alternatively, you can email us at emailValidationSupport@northlanddhb.org.nz and we will update it for you.

What will happen if I don’t respond?

If you do not respond to the first email or reminders, we will assume that the email address we have on record is not accurate and we’ll continue to contact you by post.

What if I have questions about the verification request?

If you have any questions or concerns, please email emailValidationSupport@northlanddhb.org.nz and we will do our very best to help. Unfortunately, staff monitoring this email address will not be able to assist you with general questions about your healthcare with us.
