My aim as a member of the Northland Health Consumer Council is to represent members of the community to improve affordable, accessible and appropriate care for all, in particular supporting primary healthcare within the community.

To integrate the transition of care from primary to secondary in a user-friendly and timely manner.

Communication and trusting those who offer the care and services is the key to a successful liaison and health outcome for the population, specifically for Māori and addressing inequities within the health system, especially for those living in remote rural areas.
